Winter, Goethe and Death As Zen Master: A Quote

As we go into the dark womb time of the earth, where dying is the promise of new life, I think of this by Goethe:

And so long as you haven’t experienced
This: to die and so to grow,
You are only a troubled guest
On the dark earth.

As I look my life from where I am right now,
this quote makes me feel.....
